Canola Oil Specifications
Product Description: Canola oil – No additives.
Production Process: Once extracted from the seeds, the canola oil is alkali refined, bleached and deodorized, and then packaged.
Major applications: Frying, baking and salads.
Ingredients: Canola Oil.
Appearance: Clear, pale yellow liquid, no foreign particle.
Taste: Neutral.
Smell: Bland.
Packing: Available in PET bottles of 1, 1.4, 2, 3 and 16 liters. Standard packaging is of 12 bottles (up to 1 litre) per case and then varies according to size of bottle.
Regulatory Compliance: Kosher approval available if required. It conforms to Food and Drugs Act of Canada.
Storage & Handling: Store at room temperature (68 –77°F, 20 - 25°C).
Shelf Life:
Approximately 12-18 months* if stored at recommended conditions. (Guideline only)*The shelf life period may be affected by storage conditions such as temperature, humidity and environment of storage area.

Microbiology: Pure fats are not attacked by microbial species, since there must be a nutrient- containing aqueous phase in which the organism can grow. The moisture content of this product is below 0.1 %; at this moisture level product will not support any microbial growth.

Not a significant source of Sodium, Carbohydrate, (Fibre, Sugars), Protein, Vitamins A and C, Calcium and Iron. Note: The glycerol component of fatty acids is not included when determining total saturated, trans, polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fatty acids, therefore the combined total of the actual fatty acids will be approximately 95% of the total fat.

** For a 10 mL serving, this product qualifies for a “trans fat free” claim in accordance with the CFIA 2003 Guide to Food Labeling and Advertising.
